The Whitsunday Islands
From a distance the Whitsunday Islands appeat like blue cones floating on a shimmering horizon. Up close all are beautiful and each has its own distinctive character. The islands are easily accessible by aircraft or launch, by private or bareboat charter, water taxi or ferry. You can stay on any one of a dozen islands and sleep under the stars in a hammock, a bure, a bungalow, a modest cabin, hotel room or a luxury 5-star suite.
Just for fun, you can bushwalk, explore secluded coves, swim, dive, view the coral reef from a glass bottom boat, take to the sky in a parasail, explore the islands in a kayak, follow the magnificent migrating humpback whales, play golf, horse ride and even learn archery or croquet. The Whitsunday Islands are a world of their own, a lotus land of leisure.
